So, the “Dawg Days of Summer” are still with us, along with the heat, fires, smokey skies, and flooding. Will it ever get back to normal? (whatever that may be…) We are still hoping for the best.
This month has been a good one for us. We just signed our third book contract with Surrogate Press. Yea! Now it’s a waiting game. It’s time for the publisher to get the layout and legal stuff filed. Then, it’s off to the printer for ten-twelve weeks. I know, it sounds like an awful long time, but hey, all good things come to those who wait.
We’ve had some really great weekends at the Daybreak Farmers Market. Selling our books and other items has been fun. It’s always nice to meet new people and see what other vendors are all about. There is a lot of awesome talent out there. We are so happy to be a part of the vendor community and share our story. Our next dates will be August 28, September 11, 18, and 25. Come by our booth and say, “hello.” We will be in booth #B 14. We would love to meet you.
August is our time to shine. Our birthdays and anniversary are other days we celebrated. We just had our twenty year wedding anniversary. Where does the time go? It seemed like yesterday we had a luau in the backyard. And birthdays, we’re still young at heart. As my ninety year old Aunt told me, the way to stay young is to stay busy. Well, we definitely are doing that!
We hope you are all staying safe and enjoying the rest of summer before the kids go back to school. As for us, we will continue to write and illustrate our stories for you.
Til next time, God bless.
