May has come and gone, and with it a lot of accomplishments.
In the beginning of the month, there was a dog adoption event. It was held at the England Acres Park in Tooele, Utah. It went better than we expected. There were many dogs with their humans in the park, along with a handful that needed forever homes. The turnout was good. All the vendors were dog oriented with give-aways, raffles, canine training, and sales of muliple items. There were even food trucks to feed the hungry. We met many different breeds of dogs and book sales were great.
Next came the Coyote Night event at the Copper Canyon Elementary School in Tooele, Utah. It was a good night watching parents support their children’s interests. We met some wonderful families that encouraged reading and book sales, once again, were great. Principal Chynoweth and some of the teachers present made us feel right at home. I think they enjoyed us as much as we enjoyed them. Thank you so much! And now that the school year has ended, I am happy we were able to contribute to summer reading.
Tim is offically retired this month. Yay! We were able to finish Skip Thomas’ Birthday book on schedule and it is off to the publisher. Our part is completed. The next step, after our publisher does her magic, is off to the printer. Then the waiting game begins. We will keep you posted when books arrive.
Time to relax, a little. We have some motorhome glamping trips planned starting in two weeks. We definitely need a break to rest the mind and body. Tuco, too. We feel as though he has been neglected these past few weeks. Luckly, he enjoys glamping also.
We have some summer events planned as well. When the time gets near, we will let you know what, when, and where.
Until next time, stay safe and enjoy your life and your friends. God bless.
Skip’s mom, Cb
