Illustrator - Tim Romero

Tim grew up in Tooele, Utah and Taos, New Mexico. He has always been a fearless and adventurous boy with a wild imagination. His love for speed led him to build and race his own Midget cars. He is an avid GI Joe collector and loves toys. Tim has a passion for the outdoors, and driving his Polaris Razor in the mountains is top priority. He loves fishing, kayaking, and golfing.

Tim has been blessed with an artist’s talent his whole life. He has been an illustrator for the Tooele Army Depot, done artwork for Rocky Mountain Raceway, and numerous pictures for Tooele County in the past. He is the creator and artist of HEROES FOR LIFE. His passion for creating the characters in the SKIP THOMAS ADVENTURES children’s books comes from personal experiences with the rescue dogs he and his wife, Cindy, have taken in.

Cindy grew up in Millstone, New Jersey and went to Green Mountain College in Vermont before moving to Utah. She was a Fine Arts Major and finished her degrees in writing at The Institute of Children’s Literature. She has been an artist her whole life as well, and her passion for books and animals led her to write the true stories of SKIP THOMAS.

Cindy skied while in Vermont, but got a tip about the “Greatest Snow On Earth” in Utah, drove across country, and never left. She was a competitive Hobie Cat sailor, owned a Team Roping Arena and held events for numerous years. She is an avid golfer and fisherman, loves her kayak, and trail riding in the mountains with her husband on their Polaris Razor.
