Thankful, No Matter What Happens
The last of the leaves are tap dancing down the street. Heaven knows we’ve had more than our share of rakin’ and baggin’. It’s getting colder as the days grow shorter. I sneak in every bit of warmth from the sun on my front porch before slipping myself into a cozy blanket. I wrap my fingers around a hot cup of tea, do a little bit of reading, and reflect on the changing season.
Yes, I’m a bit late with this newsletter so this will be a short one. The month of November came and went quickly for us.
After four months of waiting, we finally got our license plate for the motor home. “SKIPPIE” it says. We are so excited to go RVing again, though it probably won’t be until next spring now. Also, our Skip Thomas Adventures characters are drawn and ready for vinyl. So, when you see us driving down the road, honk & wave! We look forward to meeting you.
November celebrated Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Day. These two honorary days shouldn’t be limited to just this month. I am thankful everyday for the Veterans who sacrificed their all so we can enjoy the comforts we sometimes take for granted. I am thankful for my country, my family, my friends, my home, and my health. None of these things are to be taken lightly.
This November was also a Presidential Election month this year. Whatever the outcome, we should all be thankful we have the right to vote and make our voices heard.
So, I am going to make this short like I said. I will post my next newsletter soon. Until then, stay safe my friends.
God Bless America
